Our BellaLu Siamese are generally a hardy and healthy breed, full of vim and vigor. Here at BellaLu, we take health very seriously because we want your companion to have the best life possible. We are diligent about health screening our parent cats for the genetic conditions that can sometimes appear in the breed, so you can have peace of mind. Some conditions that can be seen in the Siamese breed include:

• Amyloidosis: A condition where an abnormal protein (amyloid) is deposited in various organs, most commonly the liver and kidneys.
• Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA): A group of degenerative eye diseases that can lead to blindness. We screen our breeding cats for this condition.
• Mediastinal Lymphoma: A type of cancer that affects the thymus gland and lymph nodes in the chest.
